The Final Challenge Roses

Day 59  - 60/60 Painting Challenge   - This is MY FINAL PAINTING for the 60 day painting challenge.  One can probably tell.  I painted this so fast that I forgot what the subject was.  My set-up is leaning a little.  I'm not sure if it's the fault of the set-up or me being a little tipsy (not from imbibing)  These roses are ground covering.  I used them in desperation as I've run out of flowers.  Oil on board  6" X 6"

Stan's Wildflowers

Day 55  - 60/60 Painting Challenge  - Stan's painting.   Stan is saving the day.  He has a few more paintings than I do.  I'm leaving for Baltimore to see my son graduate from law school.  I'll be posting the rest of the paintings for this challenge later today.  This painting was a class demo.  Stan was experimenting with water-colour on Plate Bristol Paper.  It's very smooth.  10 " X 6"

Lilacs

Day 49  60/60 Painting Challenge  - I picked these lilacs at the school area in Warner Springs.  This arrangement is an ode to Margarita.  Two of the stalks wilted before I could paint them.  Fortunately, I blocked in the painting while they were still fresh.  I'm working on painting values and shapes.  I think I captured the feel of lilacs.    Oil on board.  6" X 6"   $75

Day 48  - 60/60 Painting Challenge - I'm behind by 2 days.  Stan is lagging also.  I have a climbing rose bush; Cecil Brunner.  Right now it's loaded with rose buds & blooms.  They're very tiny and they don't live long.  The container is a liquore glass.  Very teeny.   Oil on board   7" X 5" SOLD

Mums

Day 41   60/60 Painting Challenge  -  Stan brought me a bouquet of roses and mums.  The roses wilted fast; the mums remained.  The photo of the painting seems too light.  But I'm not complaining; I'm usually too dark.  Oil on board    8" X 6"
