Soleil In Central Park

Last year Soleil, her parents, Robbie & Steffany and Stan & I went to New York.  We spent an afternoon in Central Park.  I took photo's of Soleil on the carousel; the photo's were blurry.  Robbie said he liked the blurriness; one could see the motion of the horses & other animals the children rode.  So I decided to paint an image; and yes there is motion in the painting.  The painting is small: 8 X 10".  Soleil hasn't seen the painting yet.  I'll bring it to her Tuesday, Oct. 4th.  Maybe she'll remember the ride.

Monsoons Arrived

Shortly after we arrived in Santa Fe the monsoons arrived; several said they followed us from CA. My show reception went well.  Several friends attended.  The paintings looked beautiful!  I had a collage of  

colorful images on one of the main walls.

New Show In Santa Fe

     I have a new body of work for my upcoming show in Santa Fe at the Peterson-Cody Gallery (www.petersoncodygallery.com)  The reception is Fri., July 1, 2011 at 5:00pm  I'll have 16 new paintings.  

The title of the show is "Observed".  I'll have my typical restaurant/cafe scenes plus I'll have some musicians, actors, and dancers as subjects.  I'm looking forward to being in the southwest again; seeing artist friends, visiting galleries, savoring southwest chili, listening to music on the plaza,  watching the summer monsoons and soaking up inspirational scenes & vistas.  I'll be gone for 2 weeks; will update when I return.  Adios
